See the message below from George McNutt, and below that a message from Ken Wardstrom, regarding the new landing fees at Nanaimo airport. I urge all of you who fly to Nanaimo regularly to call or email the Mayor's office in Nanaimo and let them know that your tourist dollars will no longer be brought to Nanaimo.

As of today March 16th the Nanaimo airport website shows a zero landing fee for aircraft under 2500 Kg. however I did telephone the airport administration office and they advise that there is a landing fee of $12.00 + GST (soon HST) instituted as of Jan 1/2010 and I understood no other charges. The website supposedly will be corrected today.
I don't like this trend so I have called the Nanimo Mayors office (1-250-754-4251 ask for mayors office & talk to Marilyn or Lisa) to advise them that I will no longer be landing at Nanaimo and bringing any tourist dollars.
Do we have official looking LAC stationary to send a letter to their city council ?
